Kitty in a Casket Complete Line-Up
RATM Get No 1 Spot
No1
It started as a Facebook group and ended up changing chart history.
Austrian psychobilly rockers (and Keller's current favourite band) Kitty in a Casket have added a new band member to their ranks.
Mr 'Slappin Suspender' will be completing their line-up on the double bass; a must for any rockabilly band.
You can see a video of him in action on the Kitty in a Casket MySpace page.
Rage Against the Machine's 'Killing in the Name' has won the coveted Christmas No. 1 spot in the UK charts.
Stopping a 4-year run of X-Factor grabbing the top slot, RATM beat Joe McElderry by 50,000 single sales. A final rush of sales on Saturday extended a lead of just 9,000 on Friday.
Thinking the radio play of it will still be a little scant though...
Sophie: A Dark Angel movie released
Rage Against the X-Factor
Get Some Booty at Gothic Realm
Last year EGL Magazine scoured the seven seas to catch up with the Pirates of St Piran; we asked them a few questions about what makes a truly fearsome pirate and then let them on their way. Other than some scuffles amongst themselves and some raucous shanty singing they hadn't done anything too bad.
Two of the crew have now set sail on their own boat, with some great gothic booty for you to get your hands on.
Other than their pirate and historical goodies available from Deadeye Jacks Cabin, you can dress yourself from their brand new webstore Gothic Realm. Check it out!
The campaign to get Rage Against the Machine's single 'Killing in the Name' to Number 1 in the charts for Christmas may have started out as a humble Facebook group, but it has hit the national papers and caused the bookmakers to slash to odds on RATM getting Christmas No 1.
The campaign is a reaction to the X-Factor dominance of the Christmas No 1 spot. The Facebook group has over 721,000 members, but does RATM really have a chance against the inevitable force of the X-Factor single?
On November 26th, the Sophie Lancaster Foundation staged a special viewing of their animated short 'Sophie: A Dark Angel' in Manchester, on what would have been Sophie's birthday.
The touching and thought-provoking animation has now been made available on YouTube.
The Sophie Lancaster Foundation seeks to raise money in order to educate young people about tolerance and respect. They are also seeking a change in the law so that crimes such as that against Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend are officially recognised as hate crimes.
Visit the website for more information and to support the Foundation.
